Manual Therapy
Manual physical therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy delivered with the hands as opposed to a device or machine. In manual therapy, practitioners use their hands to put pressure on muscle tissue and manipulate joints in an attempt to decrease pain caused by muscle spasm, muscle tension, and joint dysfunction.

Ultra-sound
Ultrasound can produce many effects other than just the potential heating effect. It has been shown to cause increases in tissue relaxation, local blood flow, and scar tissue breakdown. The effect of the increase in local blood flow can be used to help reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation, and, according to some studies, promote bone fracture healing.

Aquatic Therapy
Did you know that certain conditions and injuries are best treated while you are in the water? After an initial evaluation, a licensed physical therapist may design an individualized comprehensive treatment plan for you that may include aquatic therapy. By conducting your care in water that is maintained at therapeutic temperatures, you will have greater control over your movement with less pain as your body is partially supported by the buoyancy of water. This particular type of therapy is used to treat a variety of medical conditions and diseases such as arthritis, multiple sclerosis, strokes, Parkinson’s disease, obesity and muscular dystrophy. The use of water allows you to function at levels that are not possible outside of this environment, which affords positive physical gains. The ultimate goal of aquatic therapy is to progress you to a more functional, land-based program.
Electric Stimulation
Electric stimulation therapy is a therapeutic treatment that applies electrical stimulation in treating muscle spasms and pain. It can help prevent atrophy and build strength in patients with injuries. It is also helpful in keeping muscles active especially after any type spinal cord injury or strokes. Physical therapists and other medical practitioners attach electrodes on the patient’s skin, causing the target muscles to contract. With electric stimulation, the patient can maintain muscle tone and strength that would otherwise waste away due to lack of usage. Electric stimulation works by mimicking the natural way by which the body exercises its muscles. The electrodes attached to the skin deliver impulses that make the muscles contract. It is beneficial in increasing the patient’s range of motion and improves the circulation of the body. It is used in treating conditions like sprains, arthritis, back pain scoliosis and sciatica.
